Learning Teaching and Training event called “Build Your Career Garden” was organized as part of the Erasmus + project “The Career Garden”.

Learning Teaching and Training event was held on the Campus of the University of Rijeka, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, from March 29 to 31, 2023.

A total of 74 participants for the three-day LTT event, including 19 participants from abroad and 24 lecturers.

The rich program dedicated to teachers from educational institutions, but also to mentors with whom students carry out their internship, included various topics, from the perspective of today’s generations of students to the perspective of teachers in the digital transition of teaching. The latest tools for teaching on site and online, examples of successful frameworks of professional practices and projects, methods of accepting students in the company and personal experiences have been presented.

Experts from various professions participated in the education and supported their knowledge with references and examples of good practice (from psychologists to professors in different sectors).

A lot of things were tried in hands-on workshops.

It turned out that the opinion of those present about the project idea was very positive. Through one workshop, we got an answer about what the attendees think can be achieved as a learning outcome in onsite and online practice.

The conclusion is that this innovative idea may be something new at the time it comes, but that almost all practices can be carried out in an online environment and that perhaps one day online internships will be a common practice.
